Title Insurance

Greater certainty for complex transactions, coming soon

Longbrook is developing a specialist title insurance offering to protect buyers, sellers, lenders and investors against legal defects affecting the ownership of real estate and equity interests.

Our solutions will address risks identified during due diligence, as well as unknown issues that have yet to surface, helping transactions proceed with greater confidence.

What's coming

Our products will be available on a standalone basis or alongside warranty and indemnity

insurance, depending on the structure of the transaction.

  • Cover for known legal risks affecting real estate – insures a real estate title defect that diligence has already found.

  • Protection for title to real estate and equity interests – a no-fault indemnity covering legal defects in title across the real estate asset, the target and any subsidiaries.

  • Cover for corporate title to share risks arising from complex ownership histories or imperfect filings – protects against legal defects affecting the ownership of, or security over, equity interests.

  • Excess protection for fundamental title warranties – traditional excess cover sitting above warranty & indemnity limits for the fundamental title warranties.

Why Longbrook

"Think Longbrook. Think long-term."

Specialists, not generalists

A specialist team with decades of experience across the UK, European, Asia-Pacific and US title and transactional markets, supported by external counsel where the jurisdiction or the severity calls for it.

Execution that fits the deal

Early, clear positioning on insurability; disciplined triage; and fast, contract-certain drafting so cover keeps pace with the transaction rather than holding it up.

Capacity that commits

Backed by A-rated insurer capacity from with the appetite to deploy meaningful limits – often by reference to asset or enterprise value.

Cover is subject to underwriting acceptance, policy terms, conditions and exclusions. Not all risks are insurable.

The features described are indicative, remain under development,
and will be subject to final policy terms, exclusions and underwriting acceptance.
