MIF Holdings Limited (trading as Longbrook Insurance) (“MHL”) is an appointed representative of Davies MGA Services Limited (FCA Reference number: 597301) and Davies Broking Services Limited (FCA Reference number:486865) for general insurance intermediary business. Both companies are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to carry on insurance mediation activities and have their registered address at 5th Floor, 20 Gracechurch Street, London, United Kingdom, EC3V 0BG, United Kingdom. The registered address and principal place of business of MHL is Ropemaker Place, 28 Ropemaker Street, London EC2Y 9HD.

Role of MHL

MHL is a managing general agent which holds delegated underwriting authority on behalf of a number of insurance undertakings. For the avoidance of doubt, when carrying on insurance intermediation activities, MHL is acting as agent for the insurer (and opposed the insured). MHL’s work does not, therefore, displace the responsibilities of the insured’s broker. MHL has no responsibility for advising on whether the insurance coverage purchased by an insured is appropriate for the insured’s needs or represents the best terms and conditions available.

Compensation

When it enters into a policy of insurance on behalf of an insurance undertaking, MHL will be entitled to receive a commission payment from such insurance undertaking by way of consideration for its role in the underwriting process. MHL may also receive profit commission from the relevant insurance undertaking. More information regarding the extent and nature of the compensation received by MHL can be obtained by contacting any member of the team.
