Longbrook appoints Ken Sebastianelli as Head of North America Representations and Warranties Insurance

Longbrook Insurance has strengthened its North America Transactional Liability platform with the appointment of Ken Sebastianelli as Head of Representations and Warranties Insurance (RWI) for North America.
Ken will lead the development and expansion of Longbrook’s RWI offering across North America, working closely with brokers, law firms, private equity sponsors and corporate clients to deliver specialist expertise and responsive execution for M&A transactions.
Ken joins Longbrook from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he was Vice President and led the strategic repositioning and growth of the firm’s RWI offering.
Headquartered in London, Longbrook Insurance is a specialist insurance business designed to forge lasting partnerships with clients, carriers and broker partners.
In April, Longbrook launched its Transactional Liability offering, providing bespoke solutions to support mergers and acquisitions globally including Representations and Warranties Insurance (Warranty and Indemnity Insurance) and Tax Liability Insurance.
Longbrook’s Transactional Liability business is supported by long-term underwriting capacity providing clients and brokers with access to a secure, highly rated balance sheet alongside specialist underwriting expertise.
In June, a US-based insurance brokerage was launched (Longbrook US Opco LLC) to facilitate U.S. insurance placements on an excess and surplus lines basis.
US operations are led by Mike Sherry, Head of North America Transactional Liability, who said:

Ken’s appointment follows the recent appointment of Tanya Golikova, who leads Longbrook’s North America Tax Liability insurance practice.
Longbrook aims to offer insurance solutions through its UK and US companies by combining deep technical insurance capabilities with a differentiated distribution platform and enhanced risk management insights, leveraging extensive relationships with leading global insurers and brokers.
Additional product lines, including Energy, Renewables and Title Insurance, are expected to follow later this year.
